There is an amazing thrill the first time you see a book of yours in print! We have published over 30 books of the founder, Scott Sayre. Each time we learned from our mistakes and from our triumphs.

We started out publishing cooking books, hence the title TAK Publishing (Originally The Awakened Kitchen Publishing.) But as our founder located the wide diversity of his voice, we branched out into poetry, prayer, spirituality and memoir.

Each book benefits from the spiritual/healing approach we have to the process of writing.

We are not the big guys, but it's so easy to get lost in their catalogues. We value your voice, and make sure that it is a joyful, cooperative, adventure that we take together.

What Happens?
We learn about your unique vision for your book. What is it that makes it singular and you're telling of it compelling? Where do you want to go with it?

We take your ideas and manuscript and match it in with the best fit, size, and scale. We will copy edit if needed, will edit for content (developmental editing) if needed. We will create a book and a price point for your work that ensures that you will be heard. You can order as many or as few copies as you need. And you make the profit not some huge publishing company. Typically, a book that is 200 pages will sell for $20, and if you're with a big publisher you may see $2-$3 of that profit. With us it's reversed, you buy one or more books and your cost is generally under $8, you make $12. Obviously, you can see how that immediately benefits you.
